Love Notes and Stories from our Clients

I am embarking on doing a website overhaul ….  Yikes! I know …. crazy to take on a new project … but as you guys know me … I get bored easily and love to change things up. Hopefully I won’t take down the website in the process!!

One of my new projects for the website is a page featuring love notes and stories from clients. Many of my clients (especially the littlest ones) are at the studio 4 or 5 times throughout the year. That means I get to know a lot about the family! Some of the stories that are shared with me are priceless and I am going to start having the families share these stories with you guys who read the website! If you have a story you want to share and have it featured on the new page of my website along with some images of your child/family … send me an email at jeanine@photosoncloud9.com … If you just want to share a “Love Note” (why you loved your portraits) with us … that is fabulous as well!!

In the spirit of launching this page, I thought I would share a series of images from one of our Baby Steps graduates. Lincoln finished our baby plan in the fall and has since joined our Small Wonders kids club! He has been so fun to watch grow and change. He is a very typical little boy … very easy to photograph for his first year … and then …. he learned how to walk. Well actually he learned how to RUN! To be more specific … learned how to run away from me! Now our sessions are an aerobic exercise for me and his parents! I keep promising them he will out grow this soon :) Luckily I am very quick with my shutter release and we still get adorable memories of our little speedster :)

I loved the Baby Plan, especially being a new mom with a post-pregnancy brain that was so wrapped up in everything that I often forgot to take pictures on my own. With the baby plan I got to capture my son’s first year of life. The first year goes by in a flash and I think it’s so important to have those memories preserved so you can look at them for years to come! – Jennifer (Lincoln’s mom)

Here are the milestone images from Lincoln’s first year.

A 2 Year Old Miracle

Wesley Chapel and Tampa’s Premier Children’s Portrait Studio – A 2 Year old Miracle

This past Christmas I had the pleasure of photographing the most adorable 2 year old little girl. Her mom had told me that she had some health issues, but did not go in to many details. In January she came back in for her 2 year portraits. Prior to her session, I received this email …

“You have made me feel more comfortable than anyone I have ever done photos with. I never felt like I needed to apologize when Morgan acted like a normal 20 month old. As you probably remember from the story, the doctor that diagnosed her heart defect recommended we terminate the pregnancy. We didn’t listen and got second opinions. Now we have this amazing little girl! Your pictures are so beautiful and I know we will always enjoy looking back and remembering all these stages. So glad we have decided to come to you now. Thank you so much.” ~ Emily

When I read her email I cried! It is so touching to me when I hear stories of how families overcome the odds and thrive in the most amazing situations. Morgan is adorable, so full of life and so full of love. I can’t even imagine if Emily would have listened to that first doctor! I hope that someday she is able to use her story to inspire mothers who are facing similar decisions. It has been my honor and pleasure to photograph Morgan and provide her family with priceless memories of the life they brought in to this world!

Morgan we love you!

Reese Turns One

Wesley Chapel and Tampa’s Premier Children’s Portrait Studio – Baby’s First Year Album

I photograph babies every day. Yet every time one of my baby clients turns a year old and we finish their album design I flip through the pages and wonder to myself how did this year go by so fast? It seems like only yesterday I was meeting the parents and the baby for the first time.

Baby Reese has been a joy to photograph this year. We even snagged a few images of her adorable older brother throughout the year. It is obvious he LOVES his baby sister. She will have to watch out when she is older. I don’t see him allowing many boys to date her!

I thought it would be fun to share her finished album design with you. When you look at this…. you will know why our baby albums are the most popular selling product in the studio! How can you resist?

Orion is 4 … Time flies

Wesley Chapel and Tampa’s Premier Children’s Portrait Studio – A 4 year old’s album

Orion first came to visit me when he was a baby 4 years ago! We began our journey together then, and it is has been so much fun ever since! During this time he even introduced me to his older brothers and sisters and welcomed a new baby sister last year too!

This summer Orion turned 4! We planned a fun and special session for him since he loves to play outside and act all silly with his animals. Just like a little monkey.

When  a child is 4 they are really starting to use their imaginations and create their own little worlds to play in. The album we designed for him, celebrates his imagination and I was really excited when I was able to share the design with his mom!

I hope you guys enjoy too!

But before you look through the album … here is a little peek as to what Orion looked like when he first came to visit me 4 years ago!

Abigail’s One Year Album

Wesley Chapel and Tampa’s Premier Baby Photographer – One Year Custom Portrait Album

As a new parent you know that time is very valuable. All of a sudden all that free time you enjoyed before the birth of your baby is GONE! You don’t have time to take a relaxing shower, let alone worry about documenting all the details of your baby’s first year.

Nothing could be easier for a parent then to let us do all the hard work and deliver to you a finished custom album that shows your baby’s growth. That is why our Baby First Year Album is the most popular product we offer at our studio.

Here is one of our latest designs that is getting ready to be delivered to a customer … Enjoy!

Six Months Babies are Everywhere!

Wesley Chapel and Tampa’s Premier Children’s Photography Studio – 6 month baby pictures

It is funny the saying when it rains it pours. About six months ago we had a crazy number of newborn sessions. I think I may have even blogged about the fact that there was something in the water in Wesley Chapel 9 months ago. Well the fun part of having a burst of newborn sessions is that six months later I get a burst of six month sessions. Many of you know this is my favorite age during a baby’s first year to photograph. Why? Because the babies are fun to interact with. They typically giggle, smile, mimic, make funny faces and have a pretty long attention span without getting tired. It is also the stage of a baby before stranger anxiety sets in and before they start crawling away from me!

Yes, I love babies that sit and laugh at me :)

In between all the duck madness this past month we have photographed a ton of six month sessions and I thought it would be fun to share some of the images. Enjoy!

Carla’s Having a Baby!

Wesley Chapel and Tampa’s Premier Children’s Photography Studio – A studio maternity portrait story

I know some of you have had the pleasure of meeting Carla. She joined our team last summer and quickly became a valued member of our studio family.

Well, for those of you don’t know  … Carla is having a baby! She is due at the end of May. I told her she isn’t allowed to leave me to have a baby. Sigh … it will be a long Summer while she is on maternity leave. Maybe she will miss me enough to do some work from home while the baby is napping :)

I asked Carla to blog a little about being pregnant. I thought some of you may enjoy reading what she has to say …. so take it away Carla …

It has been 22 weeks and I finally got to take a sneak peak at the life growing inside of me. It still seems so unreal, like if it were just yesterday when I used to stuff pillows underneath my nightgown and pretend I had a baby in my tummy. Except this time I am no longer six years old and my tummy really is starting to get bigger and bigger.

I must admit – I am scared. Not a day goes by that I ask myself if I am really ready to have a child. Yes, I am 25 year old, out of college with a great job and a secure marriage, but I still feel like that little girl who used to play with Barbies and baby dolls. It is scary how fast time flies by, now I’m getting ready to be a mom!

Each time I retouch pictures from a newborn session, my heart warms up and I find myself saying, “I want one of those!” Well, four months from now I will. When I went in for my sonogram last week and saw evidence of that little life growing inside me, the fears of not being sure if I was ready for a child began to diminish. There is something about creating another living being that is flesh of your flesh and bone of your bones, a little person that has a little bit of you and a little bit of your spouse.

Not a day goes by that my baby doesn’t make his or her presence known by kicking and turning. My husband and I decided from the beginning that we wanted to be a surprised if it is a boy or a girl. Ever since I was little I have always liked the suspense of surprises. Although I have to admit, it was so hard to keep my mouth shut and not ask the sonogram technician what the baby is. At one point I looked over at my husband and asked him if he wanted to find out. But he stayed strong and didn’t ask, and I am so grateful to him!

It is so wonderful to have the job that I have here at Cloud 9 Studios as the Digital Artist. Every day I get to see little children and babies. Each time I retouch a child, I dream of the day when I will have one of my own. There is something about the way a child looks at the world with so much wonder and curiosity that I want to see it too.

Then and Now – Tajai

Wesley Chapel and Tampa’s Premier Children Photography Studio

There is a special place in my heart for this little boy. He is the same age as Eryn, (they are only a few weeks apart). As a bonus his mom and I have become really good friends over the past 4 years watching our kids grow up together. She is an amazing artist herself and we have worked together on several projects! If you remember the Train Stop to the North Pole set last year, she painted that background.

Anyhow, I thought since I just photographed Tajai’s 4 year session it would be fun to do him as our next installment of Then and Now.

First I have his newborn portrait from 2007. Even back then you could tell this little boy was going to be a lady killer! Seriously, no baby should be this cute. It is dangerous.

And I had to sneak in his 6 month portrait too. It was such a cute one, plus you can see his hair was awesome from a very early age!

There have been many many sessions since 2007, but I think it is fun to just wow you with what he looks like now!

I love you Tajai … you are so adorable and I can’t wait to photograph you again :)

3 Year + Newborn … Quite the week for One Family

Wesley Chapel and Tampa’s Premier Baby and Child Portrait Studio – 3 Year Session + Newborn Session

When this family came to our studio a few weeks ago, I bet they didn’t realize how busy life was about to get! They first came to us for their 3 year old son’s birthday. It was time to celebrate this little boy becoming a full-fledged preschooler! I love photographing 3 year olds. They are silly, expressive, and as a bonus find my faces and booty shaking very amusing. Lil’ Mr. E started off a bit shy. I don’t think he knew what to first make of me. But after about 10 minutes, we couldn’t stop him from smiling if we wanted to!

Later that week mom and dad came to view and order his portraits. That was expected. What wasn’t expected? Later that afternoon the mom’s water broke! Baby number 2 was on his way. I think this is the closest we ever have come to someone going in to labor at the studio. So 5 days later I photographed Baby #2 :) How much fun!

And here is Baby Brother!

Thank you for choosing to celebrate the life of BOTH of your sons at our studio. I am looking forward to watching these boys grow up! So cute :)
